横浜市にある公園のトイレ・休憩所のプロポーザル案である。起伏に富んだこの公園は、かつて競馬場として利用されていた。ランドスケープのうねりに呼応する大らかな屋根を架け、深い軒下空間にトイレの個室群と休憩のための居場所を点在させた。かつて人々が競馬を楽しみながら風景を見渡したように、この場所の記憶を継承し、公園と人とを緩やかにつなぐ建築を目指した。

This proposal envisions a restroom and rest facility for a public park in Yokohama. The park’s rolling terrain once served as a horse racing track. In response, a generous roof is designed to follow the undulations of the landscape, creating a deep sheltered space beneath which restroom volumes and places for rest are dispersed. Just as visitors once enjoyed horse racing while overlooking the surrounding scenery, the project seeks to carry forward the memory of the site and gently reconnect people with the park.
